Domino Designer / : Need an @ThisFieldHelp Function

When the @ThisField and @ThisValue functions were announced at Lotusphere I chatted with Damien about the need for an @ThisFieldHelp function and he saw the need for it. Unfortunately he left Lotus.

 

When using the @This... functions and a field value fails a Validation formula then the only meaningful specific that you can tell the user to identify the field is the FIELD name. To users this is less than meaningful. If the FIELD Help text were exposed to @Formulae then we could provide much more meaningful error messages. It would be more obvious to users which field had the problem if the error mesage could tell them more about the parameter generating the message.
